Function and Scope
The HDM Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervision and operational support of
assigned HDM site coordinators to ensure the safe and efficient operation of assigned
distribution sites including volunteer support of delivery routes, fully operating and functional
mobile meal devices, and proper temperature and food quality documentation.
Primary Responsibility and Duties

Oversees the recruitment, training and supervision of assigned Site Coordinators and HDM Drivers.

This includes regular individual staff meetings, staff development and feedback on the operations of distribution sites.

Ensure the Site Coordinators are proficient with the technology used for their jobs including volunteer management, delivery software and more.

Supports Site Coordinators to resolve delivery, route or volunteer issues that may arise.

Takes the lead in overseeing the implementation of the food safety and temperature monitoring across all sites.

Works with the HDM Operations Supervisor, North and the Volunteer Support Staff members to develop and implement outreach plans for additional volunteers, and supports site wide initiatives including Volunteer Appreciation, Volunteer Advisory Council initiatives and more.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to work with staff, volunteers and interns effectively, maximizing productivity and quality, and inspiring cooperation and confidence on the part of the staff, co-workers, leaders and colleagues at other agencies.
- Strong leadership skills with ability and determination to work independently as well as collaboratively to solve problems, seek solutions, and make decisions.
- Ability to work well with seniors and homebound clients.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from a wide variety of ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, and/or 2-3 years related work experience.
- Current Maryland driver's license.
- Dependable licensed and insured vehicle.
